Kıta Logistics to Celebrate Its 30th Anniversary with New Initiatives

Closing 2024 with a revenue exceeding 100 million Euros, achieving a 40% increase compared to the previous year, Kıta Logistics is set to continue its international expansion in 2025, its 30th anniversary year. Highlighting plans to increase their volumes in target markets, Kıta Logistics CEO and Board Member Sevdil Yıldırım announced the opening of an office in Georgia, an operational hub.

As it celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2025, Kıta Logistics will accelerate its international expansion while also intensifying its efforts in digitalization and green logistics. CEO and Board Member Sevdil Yıldırım remarked that 2024 was a successful year despite challenging market conditions in the sector, achieved through strategic investments and innovative approaches. Despite geopolitical risks, crises in the Middle East, and economic uncertainties, Yıldırım stated that they managed operational processes efficiently, noting, “Globally, we provided nearly 8,000 tons of air transportation, around 45,000 TEU of sea transportation, approximately 20,000 domestic road shipments, and 15,000 freight shipments in 2024. We closed the year with over 100 million Euros in revenue, marking a 40% growth compared to the previous year. Additionally, our warehouses operated at 100% capacity, achieving high efficiency in warehouse management.”

SETTING HIGHER GOALS WITH AN R&D CENTER
“In the first half of 2024, we received our Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification, taking the first step to enhance customer experience,” said Yıldırım, adding, “Last year, we expanded our presence in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Germany, and took further steps to strengthen penetration across the country. In December, we launched our Ankara Sales Office. Additionally, we introduced our Central Asia Desk and Quality Directorate, serving both national and international clients. Digital transformation is inevitable for all industries; in this context, we established our Kıta R&D Center, reinforcing our commitment to creating value through innovation in the sector. This center focuses on projects that enhance operational efficiency, provide innovative solutions for our customers, and ensure informational effectiveness. Along with establishing the R&D Center, we launched our SAP S4/HANA project on January 1, 2025. We aim to continue digitalizing our business intelligence in Accounting and Finance departments, as well as in Sales/Operations, CRM, Branding, and Human Resources.”

Yıldırım also stated that they made corporate moves to support sustainability goals, including applying to the Turquality Brand Program in 2024. He explained the establishment of the Brand Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Directorate, saying, “As a brand, while making our commitment to creating value for stakeholders more visible, we also redirected our CSR efforts to high-impact social projects. In this context, we partnered with the Open Road Association, which supports socio-economic and psychological recovery in earthquake-hit regions, and the Yuvaloji Foundation, which conducts comprehensive projects for abandoned and stray animals.”

OFFICE TO OPEN IN GEORGIA
“Kıta Logistics and its group of companies, celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2025, will continue initiatives that create value for all stakeholders, including customers and business partners,” Yıldırım said. Outlining their goals for the year, he added, “Through new and strong partnerships, we aim to increase our trade volumes in our primary target markets, including the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as in our secondary target markets, including Italy, Japan, Canada, the Netherlands, China, Georgia, Latin America, and Saudi Arabia. We also aim to contribute to Turkey’s branding.
Since last year, we have been providing weekly groupage services to the United Kingdom and Ireland, and we aim to represent our company in the best possible way in these markets through our strong partner, Uniserve, while contributing to the national economy. In addition to our offices in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Germany, we plan to open a new office in Georgia, an operational hub that will support our target markets this year. Our core priorities for 2025 include digitalization and sustainable growth. We will advance our digital transformation projects, develop AI-based logistics solutions, and strive to improve customer experience. We will also continue to develop innovative solutions to reduce our carbon footprint through green logistics projects.”

2025 TO BE A YEAR OF HIGH GROWTH POTENTIAL
Sharing her forecasts for the logistics industry, Sevdil Yıldırım stated that 2025 would be a year of significant growth potential as global trade recovers and digitalization continues to impact the logistics sector. She emphasized that this growth would be shaped by criteria such as sustainability and compliance with environmental standards, saying, “With the integration of artificial intelligence and AI-based technologies into the sector, operational efficiency will increase, and we will be able to better meet customer expectations. At the same time, I believe efforts to reduce the carbon footprint within the framework of green transformation will set new standards in the industry.”
