How to choose the right wagon size?
Selecting the appropriate wagon size for logistics depends on factors such as the type and size of the cargo,
the mode of transport, the distance travelled and the regulations of the destination country. The choice of wagon must ensure safe and efficient transport of the cargo to the destination. Standard wagons, which are approximately 13.6 metres long and 2.6 metres wide, are ideal for transporting normal-sized loads such as pallets and boxes. High-cube wagons with a height of approx. 2.9 metres are suitable for transporting bulky loads. The choice of wagon size should take into account the characteristics of the load and the regulations and restrictions of the destination.
